Bradford
welcomes Federal Government initiative
Bradford Insulation welcomes
the launch by the Environment Minister Peter Garrett of the Federal
Government's early installation guidelines to provide free insulation
to Australian homes.
Under
this package, the Federal Government will offer major incentives
for owner-occupiers and landlords to access insulation and have
it installed. The guidelines released by Minister Garrett show
how homeowners can access the free insulation.
"We
welcome the Federal Government's acknowledgement of the importance
of energy efficiency in housing and this further stimulus to the
housing sector", said Ray Thompson, Group Marketing Manager
for Bradford Insulation.
"These
initiatives are good news for home owners and renters, the building
industry and great news for the environment." he said.
Insulation
in houses can significantly reduce energy costs and greenhouse
gas emissions. Ceiling insulation and energy efficient windows
are the most effective ways to improve the comfort and energy
efficiency of homes." Ray explained.
It's
important that people make the most of this initiative by selecting
the right product and the right installer for their needs."
Ray said.
This
announcement comes on the 75th anniversary of Bradford Insulation,
who provide Australian made insulation products designed to stand
up to the harsh Australian climate, keeping families' energy bills
down and comfort levels up.
The
free Bradford Comfortchoice website program can navigate consumers
through a range of energy efficient products available to help
them make an informed choice on how comfortable and energy efficient
they want their homes and how to actively reduce their carbon
footprint by being more environmentally responsible.
"Installation
is as important and Bradford has rigorous training requirements
for its installation professionals, including Justrite
Insulation in Canberra where the Minister launched the new guidelines.
This ensures customers receive the highest quality installation
to maximise the effectiveness and longevity of their insulation".
Ray said.
