Retrofit double glazing – aluminium windows
This Wright homeowner wanted improved thermal performance without the cost and disruption of full window replacement. Just Rite retrofitted double glazing into the existing aluminium frames using a powder-coated aluminium adapter colour-matched to the existing windows. A small fin on the adapter mimics the existing window pane, allowing the double glazed unit to fit snugly into the existing frame – with no removal of internal timber reveals or architraves, and no need to repaint surrounding walls.
Retrofit double glazing – timber windows
This Melba home had original single-pane timber windows that were letting significant heat escape in winter. Rather than a full window replacement, Just Rite retrofitted double glazing directly into the existing timber frames using LowE glass, preserving the character and style of the home while delivering a meaningful improvement in thermal performance. No new frames, no disruption to internal reveals or architraves – just a cleaner, warmer, more energy-efficient result.
